Police arrest gang member on probation with gun in central Fresno
Fresno police arrested a Bulldog gang member who was thought to be armed with a gun in a central Fresno apartment on Friday.
Around 3 p.m., officers surrounded the apartment in the 2500 block of North Fresno Street.
Fabian Quiroz, 33, of Fresno, was wanted on several felony warrants including revocation of his probation, police said.
Officers made announcements for Quiroz to surrender, but he tried to flee, police said. He initially tried to hide, but when he realized he was surrounded, he surrendered, police said.
Inside the apartment, officers located a handgun that had been dismantled, along with ammunition.
Quiroz was booked into Fresno County Jail on several felony charges including receiving stolen property, probation violations, being a felon in possession of a firearm and obstructing an officer.
