Porterville police arrest 2 on drug, stolen vehicle charges
Two people were arrested in Porterville on Saturday when police found them in possession of a stolen vehicle and drugs, Porterville police said.
Porterville Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of West River Avenue Saturday around 1:30 a.m. where they located a 2006 Toyota Sequoia that was reported stolen out of Lindsay.
Officers found Yesica Elisalde, 24, of Strathmore and Javier Camacho, 33, of Lindsay inside the vehicle.
Officers also found Elizalde in possesion of packaged methamphetamine ready for sale along with other drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility.
Camacho was on probation for possession of a stolen vehicle and had an active drug-related warrant, police said. He was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Porterville Substation.
The stolen vehicle was returned to a relative of the registered owner, police said.
