Sheriff’s employee in Visalia arrested for computer access fraud
A Tulare County Sheriff’s Office employee was arrested in Visalia on Thursday on suspicion of fraudulently accessing computer data, department officials said.
Esmeralda Reyes Robles, 46, has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since October 2004, most recently as records clerk, sheriff’s officials said. Robles was booked into the adult pretrial facility and is held on $10,000 bail.
It is suspected that Robles was aiding her daughter’s fiance, Abraham Ramirez Arroyo, 19, the Sheriff’s Office said. He was arrested in Ivanhoe by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 8, 2015, in connection with the murder of Felix Garduno-Vega, 21, on Aug. 29, 2015, in Half Moon Bay.
Robles is currently on paid leave pending the outcome in an administrative investigation.
