Central Fresno traffic stop leads to weapons, drug charges
A traffic stop for expired registration April 23 in central Fresno led to a Bulldog gang member’s arrest on suspicion of drugs and weapons offenses, Fresno police said.
Rusty Saldivar, 36, of Fresno, was driving around the area of Shaw and Blackstone avenues when his vehicle was stopped around 10:40 p.m., Fresno police said. Saldivar was found to be on post-release community supervision and his vehicle was searched.
Officers found a sawed-off .22-caliber semi-automatic rifle and methamphetamine packaged for sale, Fresno police said.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on several weapons charges and possession of methamphetamine.
