Juveniles rob woman in southeast Fresno, pointing sawed-off shotgun at her

Three boys were caught Wednesday night soon after they robbed a woman at gunpoint at Senior Citizens Village in southeast Fresno, police said.

The robbery took place shortly before 10 p.m. The victim was coming home from work when the juveniles approached her at her front door. One put a shotgun to her back, forcing his way through the door.

Once inside, they stole her purse, cell phone and other belongings, then ransacked the apartment before fleeing.

The police helicopter crew directed officers to the three suspects walking a short distance from the village. The officers found the boys had a sawed-off shotgun, a knife and the victim’s property, police said.

The three were booked at Fresno County Juvenile Hall for charges related to home invasion robbery and firearm possession.
