Parks employee shot in hand during southwest Fresno gunfight
A shooting in southwest Fresno Wednesday ended with a parks employee being shot in the hand, the Fresno Police Department said.
Police responded to Frank H. Ball Park at 2:45 p.m. after getting reports of a gunshot victim.
Officers found the victim, a man in his 50s who was a bystander in the shooting, suffering from injuries that were not life-threatening.
Witnesses told police that there was a group of about 20 men ages 18 to 20 who were gathered nearby. At some point the group separated into two groups and got into an argument before they started firing at each other.
Two of the shooting suspects, one from each group, are both described as Hispanic men, aged 18 to 20 and wearing dark-colored T-shirts and khaki pants.
The man who was shot was an unintended victim, police said.
