2 killed by southeast Fresno hit-run driver identified

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified Ricardo Rodriguez, 58, of Fresno, and Nadine Sepulveda, 53, Tuesday as the two pedestrians struck and killed early Monday by a hit-and-driver in southeast Fresno.

Both were crossing Church Avenue, east of Orange Avenue, pushing a bicycle and a shopping cart around 1:50 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. They were not in a crosswalk.

The driver, in a white sedan, possibly a Honda, struck both pedestrians. Sepulveda died at the scene, while Rodriguez died at Community Regional Medical Center.

Anyone with information about the sedan is asked to call the CHP at 559-441-5441.
