Fresno City College student attacked in robbery attempt at campus

A Fresno City College student was assaulted by two men during a robbery attempt Tuesday morning, college police reported.

The incident took place about 8 a.m. in Parking Lot D. The victim was approached by two men who demanded he surrender his backpack. When the victim refused, both bandits began striking him in the face with closed fists.

The victim fought back and the suspects fled west on McKinley Avenue in a two-door, black Honda CRX with black taillights.

The suspects are Hispanic. One is 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds and was wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and black jeans. The second is 5 feet 8 inches and was wearing a black and gray sweatshirt and dark-colored jeans.
