An Exeter woman accused of killing two people and injuring two others in a DUI crash in March has been charged with murder in Tulare County Superior Court.

County Assistant District Attorney Dave Alavezos said Cheyenne Wyllie, 25, was legally drunk and driving a 2013 Ford Edge when she hit a 2012 Honda Pilot carrying three adults and one child March 26 near Tulare. Angelita Espinosa, 69, of Porterville, and her 10-year-old granddaughter, Jamie Espinosa of Las Vegas, were killed. The girl’s parents, George Espinosa Jr. and Charlotte Espinosa, were both hurt.

On April 8, the district attorney’s office filed two murder charges and two DUI counts with enhancements for causing great bodily injury to three people. If convicted, Wyllie could face 37 years and eight months to life in prison.

Wyllie was arraigned Monday after her arrest April 8.
