Two Bakersfield residents arrested in connection to Pixley murder

Two Bakersfield residents were arrested between late Thursday and early Friday in connection with the killing of a Selma man who was found dead Tuesday in an almond orchard west of Pixley, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jesus Jeronimo, 22, and Angelita Reyes, 40, were charged with kidnapping, conspiracy to commit murder and murder in the slaying of Abrahan Gaspar-Reyes, 40, of Selma, the sheriff’s office said. The victim’s body was found Tuesday in Pixley by a passerby in the area of Avenue 72, east of Road 120, with a gunshot wound to the head.

While the suspects have been arrested, detectives are working on recreating their movements on the day of the crime.
