Fresno man killed in fiery crash in Bakersfield

A Fresno man was killed early Monday morning in Bakersfield when his vehicle crashed and caught on fire, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. near Highway 99 and White Lane in Bakersfield. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending a positive identification and notification of next of kin.
