Stabbing reported in northwest Clovis, victim hospitalized
A woman in her 60s was stabbed and taken to a hospital Monday afternoon in Clovis, officials said.
Clovis police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of West Athens Avenue about 4:20 p.m.
Police were overseeing an “active crime scene,” but did not believe it was a domestic-violence situation.
An ambulance took the victim to Community Regional Medical Center. She had multiple injuries.
Details about the assailant were not immediately available, but witnesses were on scene and cooperating with police to identify a suspect. A black Cadillac Escalade with front collision damage was witnessed leaving the scene, according to police dispatch records.
