Moreno Valley man indicted after bringing meth, heroin to Fresno for sale

A Moreno Valley man was given a two-count indictment by a Fresno federal grand jury Thursday after allegedly bringing methamphetamine and heroin to Fresno for sale, U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner said.

According to court documents, Jesus Ramon, 31, of Moreno Valley, negotiated to sell a large quantity of meth and heroin to purported buyers who were actually undercover Drug Enforcement Administration agents, Wagner said. Ramon brought the drugs to a parking lot at Jensen Avenue and Highway 99 in Fresno, where Ramon was arrested after agents viewed the drugs. About 45 pounds of meth and more than 1 kilogram of heroin was seized from Ramon’s vehicle.

Ramon could receive a 20-year prison term and a fine of $1 million, Wagner said.
