Police say Visalia man illegally grew marijuana inside home
A Visalia man was arrested by police after they found an illegal marijuana growing operation and a sawed-off shotgun inside his home during a probation search.
Visalia police responded to a house in the 1900 block of North Turner Street to conduct a probation search, Sgt. Damon Maurice said. A loaded sawed-off shotgun, an illegal marijuana grow, marijuana packaged for sale and ammunition were found.
The suspect, Andre Baiza, 31, was arrested for numerous firearm-related charges, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a residence where drugs are sold and a violation of probation, Maurice said. Baiza was booked in the Tulare County Jail.
