Hazmat team at ‘honey oil’ lab in central Fresno
A Fresno Fire Department hazardous materials team removed material used to make “honey oil” from a home in central Fresno Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place at Arthur and Cornell avenues, where the homeowner, who rents the house, said he came to the address to do lawn work and found materials used to process marijuana into the powerful drug. The homeowner declined to provide his name.
The manufacture of the drug is extremely dangerous, fire officials say, because butane is used and explosions often occur when the gas makes contact with a heat source.
