Two men were arrested in a traffic stop for driving with nearly 60 pounds of processed marijuana, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Tat Chan, 52, and Zhisheng Huang, 44, of West Covina, were booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of drug possession and an intent to sell drugs, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The two men were driving on Interstate 5 when they were stopped for a traffic violation near West Derrick Avenue, sheriff’s deputies reported.
During a conversation with the driver, one deputy detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When deputies searched the vehicle, they found dozens of sealed bags of marijuana, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
