Six people sustained stab wounds early Friday when a St. Patrick’s day celebration got out of hand at a Clovis bar, police reported.

The violence broke out shortly after midnight at Outlaw Tavern on the southeast corner of Clovis Avenue and Third Street, spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said. It began in the bar and spilled into the street.

Injuries ranged from minor to moderate, and the victims were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Three suspects were originally taken into custody. Later Friday, police said two men were arrested:

  • 32-year-old Travis Turner was jailed on suspicion of attempted murder;
  • 35-year-old Cruz Colin was arrested for alleged assault with a deadly weapon.

Five of the victims were treated and discharged from Community Regional on Friday. A sixth victim remained hospitalized.
