Two men, including a janitorial staff member, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with thefts at various Visalia Unified School District campuses that began in August 2015, Visalia police said.

A months-long investigation, which turned up blood and fingerprint evidence, led authorities to John Hooks Jr., 44, a janitor, and Robert Burns, 56, his acquaintance, Visalia police said. A search of known locations for the two men turned up thousands of dollars of the school district’s property, including computers, visual aids and projectors, police said.

The two men were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on multiple counts of burglary and conspiracy.
