Two arrested on drug, burglary charges by Fresno County sheriff’s deputies
Two men were booked into the Fresno County Jail on drug and burglary charges, the Fresno County Sheriff’s office said.
Jason West, 30, of Riverdale, and Gurinder “Paul” Singh, 39, of Caruthers, were arrested on March 15 when ag detectives conducted probation searches of their homes.
Detectives arrested West at a home on the 3300 block of Stathem Street in Riverdale. Investigators found marijuana and a methamphetamine pipe allegedly belonging to West during the search, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives later visited a home on the 13000 block of South Elm Avenue in Caruthers where they located Singh, a friend of West’s and a possible suspect in a recent burglary.
The sheriff’s office said several farm tools had gone missing on March 10 at a farm near Caruthers. During the probation search, detectives found information that linked Singh to the burglary, the sheriff’s office said.
Narcotics were also found in Singh’s home during the search, the sheriff’s office said.
Both men were on active probation and are not eligible for bail.
