Two men were arrested after they shot at a woman near downtown Fresno on Monday night, police reported.

Officers were sent to the 1900 block of East Grant Avenue, near Blackstone and Belmont avenues, about 8:30 p.m. to investigate a report that a firearm had been brandished. As the victim spoke to a dispatcher, the suspects, identified as Nathan and Matthew Yancy, drove by her house and fired a 9 mm handgun, police said.

The rounds struck a vehicle. Officers found the two men a short time later and arrested them on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

Warrants were served later in the 2600 block of East Lewis Avenue, where officers recovered a stolen car and several weapons.
