Teen gang member arrested on weapons, gang allegations in Visalia
A teenage gang member was arrested March 12 in Visalia on suspicion of weapons and gang offenses, Visalia police said.
Samuel Cerda, 19, was arrested after police responded to a gathering of gang members in the 300 block of West Sweet Avenue around 5:40 p.m., Visalia police said. Officers saw several people fleeing into the backyard.
During their investigation, officers found a loaded handgun and traced ownership of the weapon to Cerda, Visalia police said.
He was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility for weapons and gang allegations.
