Fresno police find handgun, methamphetamine during traffic stop
Officers found more than they were looking for during a traffic stop Thursday in central Fresno – a loaded .45 caliber handgun and 8 grams of methamphetamine.
When officers from the Northeast Violent Crime Impact Team stopped a vehicle near the area of Blackstone and Ashlan avenues, they learned that the front passenger, Brandon Munoz, 32, of Fresno was a wanted parolee.
Munoz was arrested and when officers conducted a further search of the vehicle, they found the handgun under the front passenger seat and the methamphetamine.
Munoz was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
