3 arrested, 3 children removed during chop shop bust
Three people were arrested and three children were placed in the care of Child Protective Services during a chop shop bust on Feb. 24, the Fresno Police Department said.
Detectives served a search warrant at 2:30 p.m. at 4583 E. Home Ave.
More than 54 pieces of evidence were found at the location, police said, including various chopped vehicles, a stolen motorcycle, a sawed-off shotgun and evidence of a marijuana growing site.
Sean Obrien-Lang, 34, of Fresno, a Peckerwood gang member, was arrested and charged with operating a chop shop, possessing stolen property, being a felon in possession of the shotgun and other felony charges.
David Bruce, 34, of Fresno, a Sanger skinhead, was arrested for auto theft.
The location, which is in an industrial area, was being utilized as a residence.
The city’s Code Enforcement Unit, CPS, Major Narcotic Unit and the HEAT stolen vehicles unit assisted with the bust.
A woman was arrested for child endangerment. Her name was not released.
Three children ages 2, 8 and 9 were placed with CPS due to conditions of the residence, police said.
