Fresno police catch man suspected of kicking in door of home

A 20-year-old Bulldog gang member was arrested Wednesday in southeast Fresno after he was seen kicking in the front door of a home, Fresno police said.

George Aguilar fled the home, located near East Woodward Avenue and South Eighth Street, on a bicycle as officers were arriving around 12:45 p.m.; police said that when confronted by detectives, Aguilar challenged them to shoot him.

Officers followed Aguilar west on Woodward and he began jumping the fences of neighboring houses. Officers used a police dog to locate Aguilar, who was hiding in a backyard shed.

Aguilar was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, resisting arrest and probation violation.
