Sheriff: person of interest in Fresno shooting
Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives identified a person of interest in connection with a shooting Sunday night near southwest Fresno, spokesman Tony Botti said Monday.
The shooting occurred after an argument escalated at a home in the 3100 block of South Fig Avenue, Botti said. The 26-year-old victim was taken to a hospital shortly after 7:30 p.m., where he was listed in critical, but stable, condition. The suspect fled in a car.
The person who may be connected to the shooting was interviewed by detectives, but was not arrested. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
