Man freed on ID theft charges caught with stolen car, Fresno police say
A gang member released from prison on identity theft charges was arrested Wednesday at the wheel of a stolen car, Fresno police reported.
Sgt. Doug Goertzen said detectives from the Career Criminal Auto Theft Team saw the stolen 1988 Toyota Camry at a motel near Blackstone and Ashlan avenues.
After officers saw Bryant Sarver, 34, get into the car, they pulled over the vehicle at Hampton Way and Clark Avenue and arrested Sarver, a member of the Fresneck gang.
He was booked into Fresno County Jail.
