Bomb threat closes Avenue 12 in Madera Ranchos
A bomb threat closed Avenue 12 in the Madera Ranchos for about 90 minutes on Wednesday while sheriff’s deputies investigated a suspicious device.
“The device looked very real but turned out to be a dummy,” said Lt. Bill Ward with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
The CHP closed Avenue 12 between Road 36 and Road 37 1/2 as part of the investigation, which began around 2 p.m. and ended at 3:30 p.m.
