A west Fresno gang member was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he threatened to kill a woman and her infant daughter and brandished an AK-47 rifle, Fresno police reported.

Sgt. Diana Trueba said officers were sent to the 2100 block of North Marks Avenue just before 5 p.m. in response to the threats but the suspect, identified as Oshae Walker, 22, was no longer at the location.

Several hours later, officers learned that Walker was at a residence in the 2200 block of North Marks. He was taken into custody after he failed in an escape bid, Trueba said. He was booked on charges of making criminal threats and child endangerment. He was also sought on a $30,000 felony warrant for corporal injury to a spouse.
