Suspects sought in kidnapping, assault of Clovis girl

Fresno County sheriff’s authorities are searching for suspects in the kidnapping and assault of a 13-year-old Clovis girl Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Office released information about the suspects’ car. It is described as a late-’90s silver BMW with tinted windows and possible body damage, including a cracked rear taillight.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the girl encountered a group of masked men about 3:15 p.m. outside her home at Shepherd and Academy avenues. The suspects forced the girl into the BMW and drove her to the area of Sycamore Road and Coyote Drive in Tollhouse.

The suspects took the girl out the car, punched and kicked her, then drove away. The girl received help from a nearby resident who called authorities. She was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to make a full recovery.
