Fresno County inmate taken to hospital after jail fight
An inmate at the Fresno County Jail was taken to the hospital on Thursday for injuries he received in a fight, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Around 9:45 a.m. at the main jail, a small group of inmates stabbed the victim multiple times. Staff members took the victim to the jail’s infirmary, and then to a local hospital for further treatment.
The inmate, who was not named, had nonlife-threatening injuries, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
This investigation in ongoing and the motive for this attack has not been determined. No arrests have been made.
