Fresno man arrested after family dispute ends in gunfire

A Fresno man was arrested after allegedly shooting a gun outside an apartment complex in southeast Fresno just after midnight on Sunday, according to the Fresno Police Department.

According to police, Rathaanak Heng, 24, was intoxicated and involved in an argument with family members. When his relatives saw that Heng had a gun, they did not let him enter the home.

Soon after, Heng was allegedly involved in another disturbance involving gunfire outside the complex, said police. No one was hurt.

Heng was detained at another relative’s house nearby with a gun with a scratched off serial number, police said.

He was arrested on suspicion of weapons charges and booked into Fresno County Jail.
