Visalia police arrest four during DUI operation, issue 24 citations

Officers conducting a DUI operation Friday and early Saturday in Visalia stopped 39 vehicles, which resulted in 24 citations issued, five vehicles towed and four arrests, the Visalia Police Department said.

The operation was from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. There were eight field sobriety tests given, four citations for driving without a license and 19 additional citations for other offenses, police said.

Joseph Ortega, 50, Roberto Muro, 37, and Alfonso Serrano, 37, were arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said. Brandon Lee, 28, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, resisting arrest and an outstanding parole hold.
