Three wanted for questioning in Auberry Road double homicide

Detectives have identified three people wanted for questioning in connection with a Jan. 21 double homicide on Auberry Road, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

Andrea Lara, 41, of the Fresno and Clovis area, is described as 5-foot-2 and 160 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and various tattoos on her face, neck, wrists and hands. Lara is known to hang out in the Friant area and also goes by the last name Aranjo.

Humberto Martinez, 21, of Pinedale is described at 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and may have a goatee. Martinez also goes by the nickname Beto.

Martin Garcia, 54, also of Pinedale, is described as 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a Raiders shield on his shoulder.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 21, officers received a call about an injured woman at a house on the 2000 block of Auberry Road, near the intersection of Millerton Road.

While searching the property, detectives found the bodies of Karisha Beardsley, 36, and John Asher, 44. Both had been shot.

Their deaths were the second and third homicides in 2016 for Fresno County. Thus far this year, there have been eight.

Lara, Martinez and Garcia are considered armed, and anyone who sees them or has information on this case should call the sheriff’s office at 559-600-3111, Detective Donna Davis at 559-600-8207 or Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7687. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
