Fresno man arrested after northwest robbery

Fresno police arrested Richard Lee Brown, 50, Sunday night in northwest Fresno on charges of strong-arm robbery.

About 6:30 p.m., officers went to a market near West and Herndon avenues, where a clerk said Brown took $100 after a struggle, a police spokesman said.

Officers arrested Brown at an apartment on Marks Avenue just north of Clinton Avenue. He was booked into Fresno County Jail.
