Federal jury convicts Fresno man on child porn charges
A federal jury found a Fresno man guilty Friday for receiving and distributing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner said.
Federal investigators in Fresno received a lead regarding a Fresno-based email address that was exchanging child pornography, Wagner said. Investigators determined that Shane Paul Young, 45, used the email account to send and receive hundreds of videos and images containing child pornography over the Internet with users across Europe and North America.
Young is expected to be sentenced in April and could get 40 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
