Fresno detectives find woman processing marijuana for sale in apartment search
Detectives with the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium Metropolitan Tactical Team found a woman processing marijuana for sale in an apartment during a probation search in southeast Fresno on Thursday.
A woman told detectives that people were selling narcotics from their apartment at 5037 E. Alta Ave., Sgt. Leslie Bragg said. Detectives researched the address and learned that someone living there was on Post Release Community Supervision, Bragg said.
MAGEC went to the apartment around 10 p.m. to conduct a compliance search, Bragg said. They spoke with Duong Bui, 32, outside the apartment. Bui had a probation violation warrant related to an aggravated assault in Minnesota.
Detectives opened the apartment door and found Choua Vue, 28, sitting on a chair in the living room, Bragg said. She was using scissors to to process marijuana by trimming the leaves from the buds.
The apartment was searched and detectives found approximately 4 pounds of processed marijuana for sale, methamphetamine, scales and a loaded .32 caliber that was reported stolen from a residential burglary in Fresno County, Bragg said.
Vue was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for narcotics and weapons charges, Bragg said. Bui was booked for the Minnesota probation warrant.
