Police: Fresno 97 Cents Store had illegal slot machines

The owner of a 97 Cents Plus Store in central Fresno was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of illegal gambling after four electronic slot machines were found inside the business, police said.

The unit received a tip that illegal gambling was occurring at the store at 1121 W. Shields Ave. Undercover officers observed cash being paid out and the machine being reset by a store employee.

The owner of the store, Sandeep Kaur, 38, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession/operation of the machines in her store.
