Detectives sniff out alleged marijuana dealer in central Fresno bust
When detectives from the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium Metropolitan Tactical Team contacted a group of people at an apartment complex in central Fresno Saturday, they found more than they were looking for.
When talking to the group around 6 p.m., detectives smelled marijuana coming from one apartment in the complex in the 2600 Block of West Andrews Avenue. Searching the apartment, detectives found over 160 one-gram quantities of individually packaged marijuana, as well as a large bag believed to be over one pound. Detectives later also located a .22 caliber rifle.
Police said Bounmy Xiengbou, 39, admitted to possessing the marijuana for sale. He was booked into Fresno County Jail.
