A woman who police say was drunk when she injured eight people – including six children riding in her car – in Fresno on Monday faces nearly identical accusations in Madera County stemming from an incident in June.

Sarah Bolin, 39, of Coarsegold was arraigned in Fresno County Superior Court on Thursday on charges of felony DUI resulting in injury.

She was arrested Monday after her Lincoln Navigator collided with a Toyota FJ Cruiser making a turn near Cedar and Shepherd avenues in northeast Fresno. The other driver, Bolin and the six children in Bolin’s SUV each suffered minor injuries. She is believed to be the mother of the six children.

.

Court documents indicate she was arrested June 14 by the California Highway Patrol for an alleged DUI in Oakhurst. It is unclear whether she was in an accident or was stopped by an officer, but she had her children with her. She also was charged with child endangerment related to the DUI.

Fresno County Superior Court Judge James Kelley ruled that she remain behind bars until her Jan. 6 court date or her $29,000 bail is posted due to the risk she poses to the community.
