Hanford man jailed in domestic violence call on Christmas
A Hanford man was arrested on Christmas Day on suspicion of domestic violence and for allegedly violating a restraining order, police said.
Hanford police said a neighbor called police after hearing screams from an apartment on the 400 block of West Pepper Drive around 8 p.m.
The victim told officers she brought her boyfriend, 23-year-old Salvador Gonzales, to the apartment despite a restraining order she filed against him. The victim went into the bathroom after arguing with Gonzales and he covered her mouth after she started to scream for help, police said.
The victim was able to get away with minor injuries. Gonzales was arrested without incident.
Gonzales was booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of false imprisonment, domestic violence and violating a restraining order. His bail is set at $125,000.
