Fresno police make arrest in Hanford stabbing
A man accused of attempted murder in a knife attack on his ex-wife’s friend in Hanford was nabbed by Fresno police after a car chase, Hanford police said Wednesday.
Fabian Carnero, 39, was arrested Tuesday near Highway 180 and De Wolf Avenue. He was a passenger in his own car.
About 2 a.m. Dec. 15, Carnero forced his way through a bedroom window into his ex-wife’s home, Hanford police said last week.
He stabbed the victim with a large, military-style knife, cutting his lower arm to the bone and also cutting his thigh.
The victim ran and collapsed in the driveway, where Carnero kicked him in the chest and head before driving away, police said.
He lost a lot of blood and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for surgery.
