Tulare police arrest son in attack on mother
A man who attacked his mother is under arrest on suspicion of attempted murder, Tulare police said Tuesday.
About 8:30 a.m. Monday, police went to a home in the 700 block of North I Street to check on a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.
A female juvenile in the front yard told police that Lester Sanders, 32, was attacking a 54-year-old female family member inside the home. Police forced their way in and found her in the master bedroom with several lacerations to her face and head.
She was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. She told police her son attacked her.
About a hour and a half later, police spotted Sanders near Cross Avenue and F Street and arrested him without incident.
