Three arrested after six-week burglary spree in Coalinga

Three men were arrested on suspicion of a string of burglaries in Coalinga after a six-week spree led to the loss of tens of thousands of dollars in stolen property, the Coalinga Police Department said.

Joey Clarke, 29, and Juan Pablo Ramirez, 36, both of Coalinga, were arrested Friday on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after a tip led officers to pull over their vehicle in the 200 block of South 5th Street, according to police. When officers searched the car, they found $8,000 believed to be stolen from a local business, police said.

Later that day, officers searched the 700 block of South Coalinga Street where more suspected stolen propertywas recovered.

On Saturday, Diego Montes, 23, of Coalinga, also was arrested for his alleged involvement in a residential burglary two days prior in the 700 block of East Polk Avenue, police said.

Detectives are working to establish a connection between the three suspects, who will be booked into the Fresno County Jail on numerous felony counts of burglary, according to police.
