Fresno robbery suspect arrested after two-hour standoff with police
After a nearly two-hour standoff at a home west of Highway 99, Fresno police arrested a man Sunday night after he allegedly robbed a liquor store that morning.
Lt. Ron Hughes said the robbery happened about 11:30 a.m. at Liquor Bank on the northwest corner of McKinley and Brawley avenues. Officers searched the rest of the day before finding the suspect at a home about a mile north of the store on Princeton Avenue. He fled into the attic of the home.
Hughes said officers tried to negotiate a surrender but finally went into the home and arrested the man without incident. He was not immediately identified.
