Parlier woman kidnapped at gunpoint and sexually assaulted

A woman in her late teens was kidnapped at gunpoint Saturday night in Parlier and sexually assaulted, police say.

Police said she was walking home in the area of First Street and J Street around 6:50 p.m. and was approached by a minivan driven by a Hispanic male in his mid-20s. He forced the victim into the minivan at gunpoint and drove her to a rural spot south of town where the assault occurred.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark green or black, newer model, four-door minivan with tinted rear windows.
