Gang member arrested with modified AK-47 in central Fresno

A gang member was arrested in central Fresno on Tuesday night after detectives performing a probation check found a modified AK-47 assault weapon in his home.

Dana Macklin, 22, was on probation on an open domestic violence case when detectives searched his home near the 400 block of Yosemite Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Macklin refused to open the door at first but later left the apartment and submitted to the arrest.

Macklin was booked on an open domestic violence case and a new case involving several firearms-related charges, including being a convicted felon in possession of an assault weapon.
