Two plead guilty to robbery of Lemoore pizza restaurant
Two Hanford men have pleaded guilty to robbing Boston Pizza in Lemoore, the Kings County District Attorney’s Office said.
About 9:30 a.m. Sept. 15, Darieyon Brown, 21, and Alek Oliveira, 20, walked into the restaurant while a minor accomplice waited in the getaway car.
Oliveira went to the kitchen, grabbed a female employee by the wrist, ripped a knife out of her hand and held her at knifepoint, the District Attorney’s Office said.
Brown pointed a rifle at a male employee as Oliveira dragged the female employee by her wrist to the cash register to open it and they took $150.
They tried get the safe open to get more money but ran out when a customer entered the store, the District Attorney’s Office said.
Brown pleaded guilty to robbery and using a gun, and was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Oliveira pleaded guilty to robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He’s expected to be sentenced to six years in prison next month.
The minor pleaded no contest to robbery and received five years probation.
