Gang-related shooting in Parlier leaves house riddled with bullet holes

Parlier police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting Saturday night that left a house riddled with bullet holes – and an occupant denying that anything had happened.

Police responded to the 800 block of I Street at around 11:05 p.m. after several reports of multiple shots fired in the area.

Officers found a house on the block that had at least 12 bullet holes in it. An occupant was contacted at the door and denied any knowledge of a shooting, despite numerous bullet holes in the front door and windows of the house.

Officers were initially denied entry into the home by occupants, but eventually were allowed inside and found no injuries.

The resident of the home arrived while the incident was being investigated. He told police that he fled the house with his child immediately after the shooting, but never called the police. He also declined treatment for a non-life threatening wound received during the gunfire.

Officers found spent shell casings inside and outside the house and a firearm was confiscated as evidence. Several of the occupants at the house had gang affiliations and this crime is being investigated as potentially gang-related, police said.

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to contact the Parlier Police Department at (559) 646-6600 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 621-2345.
