Pair arrested in Visalia armed robbery
Angel Romero, 28, and Ayla Ayala, 28, were arrested Wednesday in Visalia after allegedly robbing a CVS at gunpoint on Dec. 3.
They entered the store, located at 1455 E. Noble Ave. in Visalia, around 1:25 a.m. Romero then pulled out a handgun and brandished it at an employee, demanding money from the register.
The suspects then fled the store but were later identified during the course of the investigation.
Ayala was already in the Tulare County Jail on unrelated charges and was later booked for armed robbery, but Romero was still wanted.
He was found at a residence in the 2700 Block of N. Giddings St. on Wednesday and booked into the Tulare County Jail for armed robbery.
