Man booked into jail after crashing stolen car into fence in Visalia
Visalia police arrested a 35-year-old man after they say he crashed a stolen vehicle through a fence and ran from the scene.
Naigien Saephan was booked into Tulare County Jail early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to Stonebrook Park regarding a suspicious vehicle. When they approached the Toyota 4-Runner, the vehicle took off.
The Toyota drove through the middle of the park before crashing into a fence and rock near South Giddings Street and West Monte Vista Avenue. Two people ran away.
Officers found Saephan hiding near a home on West La Vida Avenue and Giddings. The second suspect was not located.
Officers determined the Toyota was stolen. They found two replica firearms inside as well as numerous car keys altered to fit a variety of vehicles.
Saephan was found in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
